VoidCode VR ("VoidCode", "we", "us") is a desktop VR application for
managing AI coding CLI sessions. This policy explains what data the
application and this website handle.
The short version
VoidCode runs locally on your machine. It does not have its own user
accounts, does not require a VoidCode login, and does not collect, transmit,
or sell your personal data to us.
What the application handles
Terminal sessions. VoidCode launches CLI tools (such
as Claude Code) in local pseudo-terminals through a local helper process
(the "sidecar") on your own computer. Terminal input and output stay
between those local processes and the CLI tool you run. We do not receive
this content.
Voice input. Push-to-talk speech is transcribed
locally on your machine using an offline Whisper model. Audio is not sent
to us or to any cloud service by VoidCode.
Settings & workspaces. Preferences, themes, and
saved workspace layouts are stored locally on your device. We do not
receive them.
Third-party CLI tools. The AI CLIs you run inside
VoidCode (for example Claude Code) have their own data practices. When such
a tool sends your prompts or code to its provider, that transfer is
governed by that provider's privacy policy and terms, not this
one. Review the policy of any CLI/provider you use.
This website
The site does not require an account.
The site uses no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising, or cookies.
Standard web-server request logs (such as IP address and user agent)
may be recorded by our hosting provider for security and reliability.
Outbound links (Steam, Discord, Ko-fi, social platforms) lead to
third-party sites with their own privacy policies.
Distribution platform
VoidCode is distributed through Steam. Steam (Valve Corporation) collects
and processes data under its own privacy policy when you install or run the
app via Steam. We may receive only aggregate, anonymized store and usage
statistics that Steamworks provides to developers.
Children
VoidCode is a developer tool and is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be
reflected here with a new "last updated" date.
